We arrive very early at Cyber Port. After leaving the car at the car park, we hurry to the lawn. There is nearly no one at the lawn. Wati helps us look after drm while Tin and I go to the start line to report. We are a bit early, therefore, we go back to the lawn to see how drm are going.
We give our camera to Tyler. He takes lots of pictures. He has more interest of exploring the different functions of the camera. He discovers a ‘Sport’ mode. Thus, he changes the camera to that mode, which lower the resolution of the photos as the shutter is too fast. (Below) Faye is playing happily with the kite that we bought in Beijing. It is very easy to fly this kind of kite.
Soon, our race starts. Tyler is waiting for us on the way. (left) In the first lap, he can only capture my back. When Tin comes, Tyler is able to take a few more good photos. (third) Here is me again in the second lap.
We have finished our race. I was given the 'second runner-up' card by mistake, which made me extremely happy at the moment but then extremely disappointed at the end. (left) At first I think this photo is taken by Tyler. (right) But Tyler is also in the photo. This is taken by Faye (or Trevor?) I think Tin can answer this question, as he is more sensitive in camera stuff.
It’s time for the kids’ session. I help Faye pin her number bib. (second) Trevor seldom shows such cheerful face today! We do warm up together and then head to the start line.
Tyler has much pressure since he knows the race decides whether he can go on to read Kids’ Whiz magazine in the coming year.
Tyler knows that he has to stand in the first row to win a better position in a race. But he is such a nice and polite boy. He does not push or squeeze. (third) I like the girl in yellow T-shirt near Tyler very much. She is the second runner-up. The only girl in the first five places. It is really difficult for girl to win boys. Well done! Young girl.
After Faye and Tyler go to the race, Trevor is angry again. He says that he also wants to run. But I still don’t believe that he will complete the race without saying ‘red light’ or ‘I am very tired’ something like these. (second) It’s a pleasure to run with Faye. (third) Who is in this photo? (fourth) It’s Tyler! He is overtaking those mummies and kids.
(left) This photo is very stunning. Nice view, marvelous posture, awesome face and vivid colour blend so well together! Tyler is coming!!! Tin told me that he had never been so touched at the moment when he saw Tyler breasting the tape. He commented, ‘我同你呢一世都唔會有呢個機會架啦!' Yes, it is so difficult to win a medal, not to mention the champion!
The sweat only comes when Tyler stops running. Tin told me again that the first thing he wanted to do after crossing the finish line is to look for me and Faye. He is so eager to tell us the good news.
I must not hide the fact that Tyler is 屈緊其他參賽者機. It is because the kids’ race is for children 6 or under. All the winners are 6 years old. But Tyler is only 2 days younger than 7. His birthday is on 24th while today is 22nd. See how 屈機 Tyler is.
Dora and Elizabeth give us much support. They come to Cyber Port early in the morning to cheer us with their whole family. We yum cha at a restaurant. There, Tyler, Faye, Ryan and Trevor take a lot of photo. Only a few of them can be posted up. Dora’s little Nic Nic is very cute. We three mothers are very lucky. Our husbands are all very devoted in minding our kids. Our kids are even luckier since they all have very good daddies and mommies.
