2009/7/24 & 27 Kowloon Park

Last Friday, before fetching Tyler and Faye, I took Trevor to Kowloon Park to play for an hour.  Trevor sang, ‘Climb every mountain…’ at the playground.

This Monday, Tyler had to go for a student health check.  Bringing drm is really not an easy task. Luckily, Tin was sick that day and so he took a sick leave.  Therefore, I could leave Trevor home to have an afternoon nap.  The health check at Tsz Wan Shan was very smooth.  In the past thirteen years,  I have to help my students to register/renew their student health service in September and distribute the reminder to them later.  But I know nothing about the process at all.  Because of Tyler, I know what student health service is.  I met P1 to S6 students at the MCHC.  I thought it was appropriate to take picture at clinics, thus, there were no photos.
After the health check, I brought them to Kowloon Park since Tyler had to visit the park and complete a task book which was the summer assignment of the subject General Studies.  We enjoyed our tea at the park first.

Tyler homework is to observe 2 animals and compare them.  Besides, he also has to observe a plant and 2 park visitors. 

After taking several photos, we went to the children playground.  They had a good time.  Later, Trevor joined us as Tin felt better. 

In the evening, we went to Banner Shop at Mongkok since they did not want to separate from Dad.  The computer USB reader must have some problem.  It took over 20 minutes to copy 1 GB data.  So Trevor played ‘open-close’ for a long time at the shop. 

2009/7/26 Basketball + Monkey Bar

It was a busy Sunday. Tyler, Faye and Dad went to BM workshop in the afternoon while Trevor and I went to visit Baby Maegan. That evening, we watched the movie 'Extreme Planets' at Space Museum. Guess what! Tyler had a basketball game with Matthew in between! Thank you for Matthew's invitation. Tyler was fascinated with this sport since then. Faye ne? Just enjoyed herself at the monkey bars. She did not show much interest in sports.




Faye can swing through the monkey bars that suits her arm length. Therefore, she claims herself a monkey. She always keeps saying: I am a monkey. Therefore I like banana very much. For the monkey bar video, pls refer to my facebook wall.



Tyler and Matthew had a match. Since the basket was too high for them, they scored if their ball touched the ring. It was a very hot afternoon. They were so devoted in the game. At the end, they were all wet through.

2009/7/23 Adventure Day Camp

Tyler and Faye had an outing to Ocean Park today. After passing them to the staff, I did not leave since I was waiting for a friend. Suddenly, I heard a kid shouting to her mom, 'Please go up to wave hand to me.' I realized that I could go to the spectator stand to watch the kids while waiting.

I found that Tyler and Faye were sitting in different groups. Tyler is the one in white cap in the top group while Faye is the one at the left of the group of 3, just below Tyler's group.



Suddenly, Faye saw me. Trevor and I were so happy to wave hand to her!



Tyler wore his jacket as it was really chilling at the gymnasium. I was quite contented that he could take care of himself. However, I was quite disappointed that he lay on the floor even I reminded him not to do so the night before!



Matthew and Michelle finally arrived. I did not see how friendly Tyler was to them. But later, Michelle's mommy told me that Tyler ran to welcome Michelle and held her hand. I do not understand children behaviour. They met each other twice or more before at different 2-3 years ago. They are just like long lost friend at the camp!



Trevor was not bored since he enjoyed watching the kids at the gymnasium. However, he was very eager go to Ocean Park with them. I think he was quite disappointed.

2009/7/22 韜韜行女人街

這天日蝕，但因為操勞過渡，完全忘記了觀賞這難得的天文現象，結果送完卓君同飛飛去日營，應韜韜要求便搭地鐵，由尖沙咀往油麻地，然後去廣華街附近買餸。步行至女人街時，想起以前跟卓君同飛飛起女人街拍的照片，於是立刻拍了幾張。

2009/7/5 Jason's Birthday Part at Pacific Club

I love Faye more and more. She is a capable sister. Without saying anything to her, she takes up her role of big sister.

Yesterday, she invited Trevor to join the birthday party of her classmate Jason. Trevor watched video after his lunch. He became impatient very soon. Faye took the initiative to sit beside him. Luckily the clown arrived very soon. I moved the impatient Trevor from the chair to the floor. He became more impatient. Faye immediately held his hand and asked him to sit down. In addition, she put her arm on his shoulder. So sweet!!!



There were several movements since the children all wanted to be closer to the clown. Trevor, being 2 years younger than Faye's classmates, was of course being pushed backward. Faye helped him squeeze forward. Once when it was not possible, she let Trevor take her place while she knelt after him. What more should I ask for? Faye, I am very proud of you.



At the beginning of the party, I saw the cake delivery team. There were 4 to 5 cake boxes. I wondered why there were so many cakes, but only one birthday boy. I thought it might be the props for amusement show. At the end, I knew the reason. This was the biggest cake that I had sever seen before. Jason's mommy prepared lots of cake boxes to give each family part of the 'masterpiece' home!

2009/7/1 課外考察－－動植物公園

七．一回歸是香港的節日，因此阿天沒有放假。自從小學幼稚園停課後，加上飛飛韜韜連環出水痘，不用上課之餘，不更不用上任何興趣班，我的壓力大減，沒有好好做每星期的活動表，因此雖然工人問我七一假期當日她需否留下來幫手，我也沒有為意我要以一敵三。工人平日那麼辛苦，放假日當然要給她放假充充氣。

結果，為了要讓自己和孩子們有放假的感覺，我弄個午飯給他們吃飽之後，便決定去動植物公園考察。何以我用考察這一詞呢？這是因為卓君上一兩個月的常識課題是動植物公園，讀萬卷書不如行萬里路，我答應他會帶他去，怎料一拖就拖了個半月。

我們乘１０３過海巴士直達香港動植物公園，一到入口的那一條狹窄的小徑後，卓君就不停講述課堂及書本的內容，雖然當天十分炎熱、驟晴驟雨，而且蚊子又多，但是聽卓君這麼投入，真是不枉此行，不過就難為了飛飛及卓韜。


我們先到達爬蟲館。這條短吻鱷十分生猛，逗得韜韜十分高興。接著我們去看猛獸，有浣熊、各種猴子及猩猩等動物，卓君又感到十分親切，因為書本上看過了。飛飛也很開心，因為她常常說：我最愛吃香蕉，因為我是馬騮嘛！韜韜就最慘，只有餵蚊。


旅程當然不忘兒童遊樂場。


相機一到卓君手裏，總會有些不同，但這個不同我這笨蛋總是察覺不到。卓君就像一般男子一樣，不停試這試那，這次他把ｉｓｏ調到１６００，我當然不會察覺，因為我不會像爸爸不時重看照片來檢討，結果．．．

我們離開動植物公園前經過溫室，溫室內一點也不溫，因為冷氣開放，飛飛不停替花卉照相，韜韜就在門口看小噴水池，溫室的管理員就不停提醒遊人尚有十分鐘便閉館，要拍照就快些拍。


步行到金鐘途中，我們路經香港公園。卓君想去沙池玩，我當然拒絶他，不過後來他提議上觀光塔（好像叫抗疫什麼紀念塔），我見以前也未去過，便答應他。韜韜和飛飛好像什麼也不知道的便跟我們上去了，我問他們，是否好像自由神像呀？他們摸不著頭腦，我才想起我在紐約９１１前的復活節去的，那時卓君還是分別是一粒卵子和一條精子，當９１１發生時，他才形成了不久。



這個紀念塔高三十多米，飛飛韜韜辛苦你們了！卓君就在塔頂我為他們拍照時提醒我：媽媽，我用咗ｉｓｏ　１６００喎！我立刻重看照片，果然相片的微粒十分粗糙。接下來我們在某些必經地點隨他們喜歡逗留一會，拍些照片便離開。


韜韜由旅程開始不欠便不停扭計要坐電車，我還以為警方會為大遊行封路及電車會停駛，於是便打算帶他到金鐘之後就向他解釋一下便打發他，怎料當我正在說電車停駛之際，便有一輛電車緩緩駛過來，冇計，唯有上車去灣仔方向。下一個站還未到我們便遇上遊行隊伍，結果我們下車去吉野家吃晚飯（迴轉壽司泡湯了）。我們四個人竟然吃下三碗飯及一些小食，食量真驚人。


晚飯過後，我們加入了遊行隊伍，天氣清涼，步行時十分舒適。我們行至中環便離隊去滙豐乘搭１１３號巴士回家。


當巴士行經灣仔時，我們看見遊行人士的隊尾，有始有終。


總結一下，今天的活動在沒有細心安排之下尚算豐富，回到家中已接近八時，我們四人也十分疲倦。
