2008-7-19 Switzerland Day 1 (Interlaken)

From York, UK to Interlaken, Switzerland
(1) When dad is waiting for the aeroplane in Hong Kong on July 18, we are playing at the playground at Designer Outlet at York. (2) When dad is sleeping in Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, we are still in the bed. The train departs at 8:30 a.m. But I don’t know what happen to me. We are still cooking noodle at 8:00 a.m. Luckily, with the help of Stella and Dave, we are just in time. (3) These are the chimneys that we saw on the way to the airport. (4) Dad must be missing us a lot at 9:52 a.m. He cannot sleep well. He takes a photo of an airport building.

When we wait for the tube at Kingscross, the platform is full of passenger. I do not realize that trains at the same platform go to different destinations. The train from York to Kingscross was delayed. I am so nervous that I want to get on any train immediately. Luckily, Tyler sees the destination shown on the train head and begs me not boarding that train. I feel that Tyler is smarter than me. Therefore, even we may be late, I’d better take his advice. And he is right. After getting on the tube, I can do nothing but monitor Trevor’s temperature. His temperature was very high the whole night. Stella gave him some paracetamal but it did not help much. I have to carry a furnace the whole morning. (1) Trevor is lying on the pushchair fast asleep. (3) Great! We are on time! Not many travellers are on the queue. We do not need to run anymore. (4) This morning I was over stressed. After seeing Tin, I burst in tears again, just like last year!

(1) Tyler and Faye are very helpful this year. Faye’s bag contains dinosaurs only. She does not need our help. (2) The first thing Faye does every time when she sit down is to take off her shoes. This is a very strange habit. (3) Trevor is still very sick.

(1) We arrive Zurich Airport. This is the train bringing us to the terminal. We hear moos of cow in the train. We think of Heidi at once. (2) Waiting for a train to Bern. (3) Riding on an ICE to Interlaken (4) The sandwiches from BA are our dinner.

(1) Just got off at Interlaken West. (2) The beautiful scene and fresh air wipe away all the bad feelings. Suddenly someone stops us and insists to give our kids candies. The decoration on her hair looks bridal. And we are right. (3) On the way to the hotel, we see the bride and her friends riding bicycles with cans attached to them. (4) This is the hotel that we stay. The rooms are quite small. (last) We would like to eat some fruits. So I go out to look for some. However after walking for a distance, no kiosk can be found. I can only buy an ice-cream cone. This cost CHF4.00. Better than nothing.

The sky is still so bright even though it is already 9:00 p.m.
