Today is National Railway Museum day. Trevor longed for this day since he remembered he did not go there 2 years ago. Stella and I prepared sandwiches for lunch. The children played in the garden and conservatory.
We walked to the bus stop and take bus no. 4 to the city centre.
Stella had a dental appointment. At first she intended to bring us to the museum before leaving. However, we were a bit slow in setting off, we got off the bus first. With Stella’s clear instructions, we walked along the pavement, turned left after passing a hotel, went through a tunnel and got it!
Trevor was a train-nut, so as Ron. I think all boys are train-lovers. We took the miniature train ride first. At first we were not at the front of the queue. After a while, a staff talked to another staff that the sign was at a wrong place. We hurried to the right place and be the first group to get on the train.
Next we went to the learning centre. Unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance. I worried where we should go because there was only 1 hour before lunch time. If we went to the Great Hall, we had to come back soon afterwards because we had to meet Stella at the outdoor playground for lunch. Luckily, there were some good games helped us kill time. We had lots of fun there!
We had our lunch outdoor. The weather was so fine.
After playing at the playground for a while, we took a steam train ride.
Next we went to the Great Hall. Oh my god! I felt some difference. Mallard was nowhere to be found. Besides that, Tyler was very impatient and rushed to the Shinkanshen and then was nowhere to be found too. I was furious! At last he showed up, with just a bit nervous on his face.
We went to the Works next. Tyler was very concentrated on the description on the wall. But all were tired, we could not stay for too long. We bought some souvenirs, took some photos outside the museum and then took a bus no. 4 back home.
Everyone was busy in writing diary or drawing pictures.
Unbelievably, they still had strength to play at the garden!
Stella was preparing yummy dinner for us.
Dave worked in a farm that day, he took some silly old big pak choy and siu tong choy home. He told us that those vegetables were rejected by a restaurant due to its size. We ate them the next day. Not bad.
