This was the day we went to the City Wall. We took bus no. 4 again.
We kept chatting on the bus and thus we forgot to get off at the right stop. This was what Stella told me. I did not know which was the right stop at all.
We started our City Wall walk here. Trevor loved bendy bus so much. He showed me that a bendy bus had just passed by.
Tyler and Jody were just like long lost friends. It was because not only they were at similar age, but also Jody was such a nice boy that he was so easy to get along with. He was kind and caring, just like her sister, who in turn just like her parents. Even when Tyler stopped a certain computer game that Jody was still playing, Jody only exclaimed helplessly, ‘Oh Tyler! What are you doing?’ He was not angry with anyone but just accepted what his friend did.
Big sis and Ron must have a good time on the City Wall. They were smiling happily on the photo below.
The following trick was to breath in hard to close the nose. Trevor copied that from Faye. I insisted that it was a dangerous game and should not be played anymore.
Only Faye and Trevor were not cooperative in taking photographs most of the time.
The children suddenly found a beautiful nail head on the ground.
The above was the feet of Ron, Anna and Faye. At the Museum Park, we played hide-and-seek.
We had a picnic at the Abbey’s Ruins.
Afterwards, we went to the Art Gallery. We did some arts and crafts first. The children drew pictures and wrote Chinese characters with Chinese brush. They made kites and shadowing puppets. Then we watched an exhibition that was about the life of the Chinese who were living in York. Anna and Jody were invited to exhibit their daily lives. A photographer shadowed them to capture their daily lives. Besides albums and photos, we could also see Stella and Dave’s wedding banquet signature red table cloth as well.
Stella told us that Cafe Tea Rooms was the most famed restaurant in York. You could always see long queue outside the restaurant. She went there once and found the food was really yummy.
There was a fun fair organized by a church that afternoon. All games were free but with long queue too. Tyler and Jody wanted a try on the following game very much. Therefore, Stella stayed in the queue with them while I took Trevor to walk around and Big Sis took Faye and Ron to a shop.
The next stop was the York Dungeon. From the website, it said that children over 4 or 5 were welcome. A visit to the York Dungeon was a treat for Anna for achieving something great. Unfortunately, we found that the people in the queue were mainly teenagers and adults. A few of them were older kids. A ‘horrible’ staff honestly told us that children over 8 were recommended but they did accept children from 4 to 8 who thought they were brave. After asking Trevor whether he was brave, we decided to take a bus home.
The children did some art work, wrote diary and played games before enjoying their dinner.
What fun it was to stay at Stella’s home!
