The sleeping arrangement in our quadruple room was: Tyler + Faye + Trevor + me on double bed, Tin on single bed, Big Sis + Ron on single bed. I woke up at 7:00 a.m. again. I could capture how sweet drm were in their slumber.
Ron was not on the photo since Big Sis woke up even earlier than me. They were at the restaurant that time.
We joined them later.
The weather was worse that day. We had to use the umbrella once we left the hotel. We went to the big bus termius near the Haubahnhof. We took bus no. 150 to the Bad Ischl direction …
The bus driver was of big size. He got off somewhere and brought on board a big bag of snacks.
We changed bus no. 4 at at Strobl to St. Wolfgang. I did not notice the beautiful scenery on the way. When I opened my eyes, I found myself at the countryside. Quiet, peaceful and green, that was more attractive than the hectic city at Salzburg.
Tin and Tyler checked the bus schedule. It stopped raining at the time we got off. We enjoyed the beautiful lawn.
We took a train ride to the hill top. There were sights that Sound of Music filming took place. We guessed they were probably the scene that Maria sang, ‘The hills are alive with the sound of music …’, ‘Let’s start at the very beginning. A very good place to start …’ etc.
We would like to buy some sandwiches for lunch at the hilltop. However, there was not enough time to meet our order. Before going through the entrance, we asked the station master if there was any restaurant uphill. They answered instantly and clearly YES!
We felt colder and colder in the train. It was raining quite heavily and the wind was very strong.
After arriving the terminus, we found that we were being cheated. The restaurant was closed (due to bad weather we thought). Someone turned the handle of the door to see what was outside. The door swung open immediately and could be closed again without great effort. It was extremely cold, wet and boring there. Temperature was only 7^C indoor. Almost all passengers stayed quietly for the next train going downhill. Not too bad. We only had to wait for 40 minutes. That silly round trip cost HKD1000 in total.
We looked at the other silly tourists waiting for the next train at the hilltop. Most of us took the same train downhill. What we could do was to heave a sigh of relief and go downhill together.
Instead of singing Sound of Music and Do-ri-me, we only appeared on beautiful background photos shot by train service provider.
We ate only biscuits and cereal bars on the train. Being cold, disappointed and hungry, we hoped we could have a bravo lunch.
