As the weather was not good, we went to the Nature House. We believed that it should be quite suitable for children. It was not far away. We went on foot.
The museum was quite large. There were exhibitions of dinosaurs, marine, science, life of Tibetans, space etc. The content looked very interesting but … very disappointingly, descriptions were almost all in German. We did not understand at all. There were a large area for Doppler effect. Doppler was a Austrian physicist proposed it in 1842. No wonder there were lots of video clips, educational models and computer games about this phenomenon.
There were an even larger area for Science Learning Center. We found it quite fun so we decided to have lunch nearby. I went to the museum restaurant to check if it was suitable. I felt it ok and thus hurried back to the learning centre to tell Tin and Big Sis. As I was hungry and too eager to see Tin, I was tripped up by something and fell on the ground at the learning centre. A big bang and I was lying on the ground. Big Sis told me later that she was very frighten to hear the bang as it recalled the accidents she faced at her work place. She was shock after knowing that the unlucky on was me. I felt so painful that I wanted to lie there for a longer while. I felt that many many eyes were looking at me. A few seconds later, Tin came and helped. My left wrist and my right knee ached a lot. But I felt they were still ok. So we went to the museum restaurant together. There we had very very bad experience. There were no waiter arranging seats. Just like many years ago in Hong Kong, we had to wait next to some occupied tables and rushed to occupy a table for our large group. Besides that, the waiter did not give any service to us. We sat down for nearly half an hour but no one approached us. It should not be the problem of racial discrimination. We observed that others local visitors were also being treated the same as us. Finally, we bought some take-away sandwiches for the children. My wrist is still painful today (nearly 3 weeks after).
Tyler loved the following game. His name appeared on 3 positions of the top 5.
Sorry, Ron! The exhibits were not suitable for him. Luckily he played patiently with the following ‘building materials’.
We were so hungry that we eagerly looked for something to eat. There was no restaurant except a pizza house. A waiter told us that we only need to wait for 7 minutes for take-away. So we bought one. He gave us the change by taking some coin from his trousers pocket! We saw how the chef made our pizza. After 7 minutes, a hot and yummy salami pizza was done. After 5 more minutes, it was in our tummy.
Then we went to another scenic spot on foot. On the way, there was an Art Gallery. We stopped and took some silly photos.
