We bought some bread and pizza from the food shop outside the station for lunch. Then we took Bahn to Schonbrunn station.
On the way to the palace, there were lots of chestnut tree. That was the first time I saw real chestnut fruit.
The weather was fine that day too. We took lots of pictures even we were only outside the palace.
Schonbrunn means ‘beautiful spring’. It was built in the 17th century. Its scale at first was even greater than that of Versailles. Owing to war and different problems, it was smaller then it supposed to be. We did not know which scale was bigger since we did not go to Versailles during our visit in Paris 5 years ago. If it could be smaller, we would not feel so tired at the end of the day.
Many thanks to Big Sis! With her, we had more family photos.
We did not enter the palace. Children liked running and fooling around outdoor more.
Trevor ran the most among the 4 children. He was shot running in many photos.
Ron was very sensitive to camera. He loved to smile very much.
There was a maze and a zoo. Tin took all the children to the maze while Big Sis and I took a long break on a bench, under a tree shadow, facing the beautiful vast garden. The children had great fun in the maze.
When they got out, they were treated with soft drinks.
We then climbed up the hill to another building. That was where the queen liked having her breakfast.
Trevor still looked energetic after running so much. He kept calling ‘Papa Papa…’ all the time to tell or ask Tin something.
Faye and I danced along the path. Faye liked swirling. We even did a balance posture.
Goodbye Schloss Schonbrunn! Goodbye chestnuts!
